Dr. Baker graduated from Allegheny College and obtained his medical degree from the University Of Rochester School Of Medicine. His post-graduate training includes an internship and residency from Beth Israel Hospital/ Harvard Medical School in Surgery and Anesthesiology. He was appointed Chief Resident in Anesthesiology. More recently, he has served as the Director of Anesthesiology and Pain Management, Director of the Problem Wound Care Center, Chairman of the Surgery Department and President of the Medical Staff at Valdese General Hospital. He also was the President of the Burke County Medical Society. His academic appointments include Clinical Instructor of Anesthesiology Harvard Medical School, and Assistant Clinical Professor of Anesthesiology Duke Medical School. Dr. Baker is an active member of the American Medical Association, the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the North Carolina Society of Anesthesiologists and the North Carolina and Burke County Medical Societies.

Dr. Baker is Board Certified in Anesthesiology and is member of the American Academy of Pain Medicine. He is also a member of The American College of Phebology. Dr Baker is now focusing his practice on the treatment of venous problems and aesthetic medicine
Dr. Shah completed his cardiothoracic training in 1971 and has been in private practice since 1972. He has devoted his practice to managing venous disease for more than 25 years. He pioneered noninvasive and minimally invasive treatment of varicose veins in North Carolina, including the introduction of the radiofrequency (VNUS) closure procedure in 2000.

Dr. Shah is Board Certified in General Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also clinical instructor at Bowman Gray Medical School and Baptist Hospital as well as an active member at Forsyth Medical Center and at Medical Park Hospital.PHYSICIANS

He was featured on WXII Channel 12 "Vital Signs" and "Inside Edition" in 2003.
Denise began her role as the Vein Clinic of North Carolina office manager and insurance coordinator in February, 2007. She received her Bachelor of Science in Laboratory Medicine from Winston-Salem State University. She worked for Roche Biomedical in Burlington, NC for many years as a teacher and bench technologist in Special Chemistry before changing careers. She then worked for CareLina Medical at Wake Medical Center and Raleigh Endocrine Associates in Raleigh, NC as a patient account representative. Her clinical background allows her to connect with patients in a different way than most, she considers herself more of an educator and giver of information. Her goal at the Vein Clinic of North Carolina is to educate the patient about vein disease and maximizing the role of their insurance company in managing their care.
Jane is originally from Greensboro, NC and moved to Winston-Salem in December of 2006. She attended Ashmore Business College, graduating in 1981. She has over 15 years of experience in a variety of medical practices. Her goal is to make patients comfortable and at ease so that they will have a positive experience at our clinic.

Tina received her nursing degree from Forsyth technical College in 1984, prior to joining Vein Clinic of North Carolina she has worked in cardiology and urgent care. She enjoys teaching patients about their diagnosis and treatment plan. "The more patients know about what is wrong and what to expect, the more they understand and can help in their treatment." She particularly enjoys getting to know each patient on a personal level and believes laughter is a good healer.
